Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) NEW -- The official custodians of Air Force history. Lots of great reference material including lineage & honors information for many AF units.

Air National Guard (ANG) History Home Page -- Website published by the Air National Guard history office provides details for the Guard's emblem approval process. Also features images of all current ANG flying wings and squadrons.

American Military Patches, Other Insignia & Decorations of World War Two -- Great site by Dr. Howard G. Lanham with lots of great information for the World War II patch collector.

The American Society of Military Insignia Collectors (ASMIC) -- A non-profit organization, ASMIC is the oldest & largest organization of military insignia collectors in the world.

Association of Air Force Missileers (AAFM) Missile Patch Gallery -- Extensive gallery featuring Greg Ogletree's missile patch collection.

Association of American Military Uniform Collectors (AAMUC) -- Organization dedicated to the collection, preservation & study of American military uniforms.

AWACS Patches NEW -- Frank Offergeld's site detailing all patches related to the AWACS aircraft.

Civil Air Patrol Patches -- Andy Browning's extensive gallery featuring patches from the United States Air Force Auxiliary.

The Institute of Heraldry (TIOH) -- Great site with lots of information on Army and Joint unit heraldry.

National Museum of the U.S. Air Force -- The USAF's flagship museum, features tons of reference materials to aid the patch collector.

NATO Tigers Association -- Official website of the NATO Tigers Association featuring an extensive NATO Tigers patch gallery.

Online Air Defense Radar Museum -- Wonderful site documenting the history of USAF Air Defense Radar units. Site features a large collection of air defense patches & tons of historical documentation for the researcher.

Scott's USAF Installations Page -- Scott D. Murdock's excellent site on the history, design, & use of U.S. Air Force installations. Features a list of all known USAF installations.

Sharpshooter - Military Aviation Journal -- Great site featuring the military aviation photography. Of special interest to the patch collector is the extensive database of U.S. Air Force deployments to Europe -- a must for patch research!

Strategic-Air-Command.com -- Marvin T. Broyhill's site on SAC. Features sections on SAC history, unit histories, a patch gallery, & much more!

Tankkiller.com NEW -- Site devoted to the A-10 "Warthog" featuring a large collection of A-10 related patches.

Toons at War NEW -- Blog devoted to Walt Disney's contribution to war effort during World War II. Has some great information on some of the emblems designed by Walt Disney Studios during World War II.
