I’m a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and have been helping to make patches for family, friends and co-workers since 1997.
I provide custom made embroidered morale patches effectively at cost. What’s the catch? You provide me 10-20 extras so I can have one for my personal collection as well as some for trading/selling. If you do not want your patches traded or sold off my website please let me know — the prices in this case will be higher.
I am NOT an approved vendor for a USAF/USSF unit to procure officially approved patches with government funds. Approved patches are considered those approved by the Air Force Historical Research Agency with an official drawing completed by the Institute of Heraldry. To use government funds units are required to procure official patches from one of the vendors certified by The Institute of Heraldry. I can provide official as well as morale patches if they are being paid for by an individual or a private group such as a booster club. I can take GPC for patches deemed as an “award” like coins.
If you are interested, please do the following:
- Please e-mail me at: webmaster *at* usafpatches.com and provide the following:
- Kind of patch desired (embroidered or PVC)
- Total number of patches you want
- Desired size (height in inches)
- I will get a sample made and e-mail you an image for any corrections/changes.
- Once the patch is finalized, I’ll reconfirm the order and get the patches produced.
- Once I get the patches, I will either ship the patches to you or you may pick them up if we’re in the same area. Payment is due upon delivery.

Artwork can be in .JPG, .PNG, .PPT, .SVG, .AI or .CDR format. The larger and more detailed the artwork the better. Time permitting, I can also design a new patch or refine/modify an existing design. If I design the patch, you agree not to go to another vendor to get the patch produced unless I specifically authorize you to do so.
50 patches is the minimum. For embroidered patches, price per patch decreases at 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000 pieces. The biggest price drop is between 50 and 100 patches. For PVC patches price decrease varies.
Patch price is determined by the following factors:
- Number of patches
- VELCRO or no VELCRO
- Size of patch [(length + width]/2)]
- Number of Colors, up to 7 colors included for embroidered patches, price increases for each color for PVC
- Shipping/insurance fee
- (PVC Patches) Mold fee – if the patch is a re-order, the mold fee is not applicable and the price per patch decreases from the original order
You will also be charged the actual shipping and insurance costs.
50 embroidered patches with VELCRO, 4″ size, less than 7 colors: ~$2.83 (or less)/per patch + shipping/insurance (~$150)
100 embroidered patches with VELCRO, 4″ size, less than 7 colors: ~$1.80 (or less)/per patch + shipping/insurance (~$200)
50 PVC patches with VELCRO, 4″ size: ~$3.50 (or less)/per patch + shipping/insurance (~$240)
100 PVC patches with VELCRO, 4″ size: ~$2.25 (or less)/per patch + shipping/insurance (~$240)
Embroidered Patch Sample
You will see a sample of your patch prior to production to allow you to make any changes. The sample is provide as a scanned .JPG or .PNG image (see image below). If you require a physical sample the costs is $50. If you proceed with the order, the cost of the physical sample will apply to your order. If for some reason you decide not to proceed with the order after the sample is produced, you will owe $50.00 to cover the cost of the sample. In general, you are only allowed to make changes up to 3 times.
PVC Patch Sample
You will see a sample of your patch prior to production to allow you to make any changes. For PVC patches, you’ll receive a drawing of the design that is use to produce the PVC mold. The drawing is provide as a .JPG or .PNG image (see image below). Once you’ve approved to the design and authorized me to proceed, I’ll get a sample made based on the design. You will receive an image of an actual patch produced with the mold approximately 1-2 weeks after you’ve approved the drawing. This is the last opportunity to make any changes. If for some reason you decide not to proceed with the order after the sample is produced, you will owe $80-90 to cover the mold cost of the sample. In general, you are only allowed to make changes up to 3 times.

Total timeline is usually 2-4 weeks. For embroidered patches, The sample usually takes about a week to get produced. For PVC patches, it takes about 2 weeks. Once the sample is approved, patches will ship to you within 2-3 weeks.
If you are in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area we can setup a time/place for free pickup.
If you are outside of Colorado Springs, I will ship your patches via US Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS) depending on the quantity you order. I insure all shipments.
Payment is due upon delivery. For patches sent via USPS or UPS, I will e-mail you an invoice after the patches are shipped. I accept check, Paypal, Vimeo, Apple Pay, major Credit Cards and Zelle. I can accept a Government Purchase Card (GPC).
