These patches were never used by the unit. In addition, this patch contains an error, as the 8th Fighter Squadron was part of the 379th Air Expeditionary "Wing" not "Group". This series included fake patches with the following unit designations: 40th Air Expeditionary Wing, 457th Air Expeditionary Group and 379th Air Expeditionary Group/8th Fighter Squadron.
