NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS:  Please be aware that domestic (US) shipping times may take up to one (1) month and international shipping may take up to two (2) months.

When Will an Order Ship?

In general, an order will ship within one (1) week of the date of purchase. Please contact us after one (1) week if you have not received a shipment notice. From time to time they may be shipping delays beyond a week, in such instances a notice will be posted on the Shop webpage.

Shipping Methods

All orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). The following are the USPS shipping options offered; please note that shipping options are subject to change at any time.

United States. Orders destined to a US address (includes Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam and APO/DPO/FPO) are shipped via the following methods:

  • USPS First Class Mail with no tracking and no insurance.
    • USPS provides an estimate of 1-5 days for this type of shipping, but it is not guaranteed.
    • This option is only available for small patch orders (1-3 patches) and does not include tracking or insurance.
    • Upon request, proof of mailing can be provided with a timestamped picture of the addressed envelope with postage that was mailed.
    • Items are shipped in a standard or manila envelope.
  • USPS First Class Parcel with USPS tracking number and no insurance.
    • This is the standard option and does not provide insurance.
    • USPS provides an estimate of 1-3 days for this type of shipping, but it is not guaranteed.
    • It provides proof of mailing and delivery with a USPS tracking number that is provided via an updated order e-mail once your order has shipped.
    • Items are shipped in a manila envelope, bubble mailer or poly mailer.
  • USPS Priority Mail with USPS tracking number and insurance.
    • USPS provides an estimate of 1-3 days for this type of shipping, but it is not guaranteed.
    • This option provides proof of mailing and delivery with a USPS tracking number that is provided via an updated order e-mail once your order has shipped.
    • This is the only option that offers insurance — a minimum of $50 coverage with the option to pay for additional insurance to cover the full costs of your order if it is above $50.
    • Items are shipped in USPS Priority Mail mailers, boxes or bubble mailers or in a bubble mailer or poly mailer. 

International Orders. Orders destined to a non-US address are shipped via the following methods:

  • USPS First Class International Mail with no tracking.
    • Delivery timelines are estimated by the USPS to be 6-20 days.
    • This option is only available for small patch orders (1-3 patches) and does not include tracking or insurance. The USPS has started rejecting some USPS First Class International Mail letters because of the thickness of the envelope.
    • Upon request, proof of mailing can be provided with a timestamped picture of the addressed envelope with postage that was mailed.
    • Items are shipped in a standard or manila envelope.
  • USPS First Class International Parcel with USPS tracking number and no insurance.
    • Delivery timelines are estimated by the USPS to be 6-20 days.
    • Customs declaration is required.
    • This is the standard option for international customers.
    • This option provides proof of mailing with a USPS tracking number that is provided via an updated order e-mail once your order has shipped. Please note that once a parcel is transferred from the USPS to another nation’s Postal Agency the tracking number may not work.
    • Items are shipped in a manila envelope, bubble mailer or poly mailer.
  • USPS Priority Mail International with USPS tracking number and insurance.
    • Delivery timelines are estimated by the USPS to be 6-10 days.
    • Customs declaration is required.
    • This option provides proof of mailing with a USPS tracking number that is provided via an updated order e-mail once your order has shipped. Please note that once a parcel is transferred from the USPS to another nation’s Postal Agency the tracking number may not work.
    • Items are shipped in USPS Priority Mail mailers, boxes or bubble mailers or in a bubble mailer or poly mailer. 

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on location being shipped to and total weight of the package. Shipping costs are visible on the checkout page based on the shipping address. Insurance is available with items shipped USPS Priority Mail ONLY.

How to Track a Package

For items shipped by USPS First Class Parcel, USPS Priority Mail and USPS Priority Mail International, USAFpatches.com will send an updated e-mail with a USPS tracking number providing proof of shipping. Customers who have USPS tracking numbers can enter the tracking number on the USPS website to track their parcel/package. For International customers, the USPS tracking number may be used to track an item on your nation’s postal service website; please contact you nation’s postal service. USAFpatches.com cannot provide any further information other that what is provided on the tracking websites. Please e-mail the USPS or your nation’s postal service for additional assistance.

Items shipped USPS First Class or USPS International First Class cannot be tracked.

Order Has Not Been Received or Lost Envelopes/Packages

UPON PLACING AN ORDER, CUSTOMERS WITH AN ORDER SHIPPING TO A US ADDRESS ASSUMES ALL RISK FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ORDERS SHIPPED WITHOUT TRACKING AND INSURANCE.  CUSTOMERS WITH AN ORDER SHIPPING TO A NON-US (INTERNATIONAL) ADDRESS ASSUME ALL RISK FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ORDERS.

Customers may purchase insurance by shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping up to $50 insurance is covered in the USPS Priority Mail shipping fee. If you purchase more than $50 worth of merchandise, an option to purchase additional insurance is available at checkout. If you paid for insurance and would like to file a claim for a lost package, please contact us. For customers shipping their order to a non-US (international) address, insurance may not be available; please contact us for more information.

For items shipped by USPS First Class Parcel, USPS Priority Mail and USPS Priority Mail International, USAFpatches.com will send an updated e-mail with a USPS tracking number providing proof of shipping. Customers who have USPS tracking numbers can enter the tracking number on the USPS website to track their parcel/package. For International customers, the USPS tracking number may be used to track an item on your nation’s postal service website; please contact you nation’s postal service. For items shipped USPS First Class or USPS International First Class, upon request, USAFpatches.com will provide a photo of the envelope providing proof of mailing. Unfortunately since these items do no have a tracking number, there is little that can be done to find a lost envelope shipped this method.

Misaddressed Items

To prevent misaddressed orders, customers are highly encouraged to verify their proper address. For US customers, an address can be verified on the USPS Zip Code Lookup website.  For Royal Mail customers, an address can be verified on the Royal Mail Postcode Finder website.

If an order is returned due to the customer providing a wrong address, the customer will be contacted and requested to provide a valid address and cover any additional postage costs.  If the customer refuses to pay the additional postage costs, the customer will be refunded minus the shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee. The 15% restocking fee is based on the total order minus shipping.

If an order is returned due to an error by USAFpatches.com, the customer will be notified and the item re-shipped as soon as possible.

Customs

For items sent to international and US APO/FPO/DPO addresses, US law requires appropriate customs forms be completed when shipping a parcel or package. Customs fees may be assessed by the national postal service of that country. Customers are responsible for any customs fees incurred. Customs fees are paid to the national postal service.
