9th Bombardment Squadron, Heavy; Cloud Nine

From Lt Col Bob Eubanks: "I created the image as a nose art for a B-52 (Tail number 0009) that my squadron (9th Bombardment Squadron, 7th Bomb Wing, Carswell AFB) flew. I have a picture of me as a 2nd Lt standing in of the B-52 Nose art just after I painted it. Because of the tail number; 0009, we wanted to create it as a moral symbol of the squadron. The background (the grey sky, search lights forming the roman numeral Nine...IX and the cityscape) was taken from a much older version of the patch."
