Welcome to the USAFpatches.com Gallery, the centerpiece of this website featuring 25,000+ embroidered, leather, PVC and silk-screened patches patches representing organizations, exercises, competitions, classes, weapon systems, and installations from the USAF and its predecessor organizations. While the Gallery is one of the most comprehensive compilations of U.S. Air Force patches available, it is by no means complete. The patches pictured are only a small percentage of the U.S. Air Force patches that exist. Gallery images come from the Webmaster’s or visitor’s personal collections. For more information on the gallery, please go the Gallery Overview.

DONATIONS OF ACTUAL PATCHES ARE ACCEPTED AND APPRECIATED, PLEASE VISIT THE DONATION PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

 48th Maintenance Operations Squadron
Emblem Significance: Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The firebird on the flight symbol represents the squadron personnel and their dedication to guarding, guiding, and maintaining the Wing's aircraft and mission. The swirling contrail reflects the turbulence in the world and serves to remind the unit personnel of the sacrifices that were necessary in the past to sustain future peace. Emblem originally approved for the 48th Logistics Support Squadron on 21 July 1994 (Source: 48 FW Heritage Pamphlet)
