82d Aerial Targets Squadron

From David Stroup - "I redesigned the 82d's patch after transferring to Tyndall. Went through the whole paper work and blessing bit to get the second patch in your display made official. The original (with the Honda 'Winged Helmet') had lost its integrity through the years. The helmet is supposed to be Viking. Hence the redesign. Note that the new official patch does not conform to Air Force regulations. The AF requires that blue and gold be included in all full color designs (check out the regulation). Convinced the powers that it was just an update and not a new design and to keep the original colors intact. The Honda 'Winged Helmet' registered trademark reason may have helped."
