Welcome to the USAFpatches.com Gallery, the centerpiece of this website featuring 25,000+ embroidered, leather, PVC and silk-screened patches patches representing organizations, exercises, competitions, classes, weapon systems, and installations from the USAF and its predecessor organizations. While the Gallery is one of the most comprehensive compilations of U.S. Air Force patches available, it is by no means complete. The patches pictured are only a small percentage of the U.S. Air Force patches that exist. Gallery images come from the Webmaster’s or visitor’s personal collections. For more information on the gallery, please go the Gallery Overview.

DONATIONS OF ACTUAL PATCHES ARE ACCEPTED AND APPRECIATED, PLEASE VISIT THE DONATION PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

337th Bombardment Squadron, Heavy; Your Worst Nightmare

Designed by Matthew P. Glenn

1. From Matthew P. Glenn -- "This morale patch was designed by me while a member of the 337th Bomb Squadron (337 BS) operational B-1B unit at Dyess AFB, TX as part of the 96th Bomb Wing. The origin of the 'Your Worst Nightmare' patch was based in the night capabilities of the B-1B Lancer or 'B-ONE' as some refer to it as. It was developed at the point in the B-1 community when all aircrews were going through the continuation flight training checkout program for the night automatic terrain following mission of the jet. The patch was to instill a sense of pride in our new mission as we started the grueling training process in order to keep the squadron's morale high. The maroon and white checkerboard border represents our squadron colors arranged in the Air Force standard training checkerboard pattern reflecting the training involved. The dark blue sky represents the darkness of the night time mission. The stars represent the squadron with two groups of 3 and one group of 7 resulting in 337 for the 337BS. The moon represents the varying illumination of the night sky showing the way. The skyline and black terrain represent the transition into the low level environment to hide our presence from the enemy in order to accomplish our wartime taskings. The B-1 obviously represents the new capability of Night TF while the Dragon mascot rider represents our squadron and powers that be supporting and guiding the 337BS crews safely on their journey into the night. The motto 'Your Worst Nightmare' was included as a warning to all those who dare challenge to tangle with the B-1 and its deadly capabilities."
